Introducing our new “Bee LOVE” illustration! My ode to all things wildflower, garden blooming, and crop pollinating.

Our “Bee LOVE” illustration has a sweet double meaning, by adding more love and joy into the world. Something every single body needs more of, no matter who you are. ❤️

Adding to the double-meaning good vibes, we’ve released this design as both an art print and also double-sided sketch & notebook journals too.

Bee LOVE is also available as a beautiful new notebook, sketchbook or journal featuring a double-sided illustration of this field of tall flowers and a sweet honey bee on both the front and back covers. One side is Sweet Cream, the other side is Deep Garden Green.

⇒ With a sturdy black metal spiral binding, you can either use the dark green or the summer cream as your “front cover”. We laid our these journals so that when you flip your notebook over the artwork is facing the right way. So you get to choose which color is your cover! 🎨

⇒ Added bonus – these notebooks are perfect for left-handed folks too.

⇒  Sized at 7.5in x 10in our Bee LOVE notebooks are small enough to tote and carry easily. But large enough to actually jot down your thoughts, draw out garden plots, and/or sketch & make art. ❤️

2024 Wall Art Calendar: Fresh new art for brand new starts. All year long.

Hello there friends!

As promised, we’re dropping a quick announcement that our limited edition 2024 Wall Calendars are here! Available in both our Etsy Shop and website store. Click any images to see more!

We designed our very first limited edition flip Wall Calendars last year for 2023, and not gonna lie, they sold out super dang fast. We even had to sneak in a rush 2nd printing last year to keep up. Even so, they still sold out before the Holidays. Whoa!

Yay! But also? Sad trombones for those who weren’t able to get one for 2023.

GOOD NEWS: We are doing a bit larger of a run this year, hooray! But, do note that this is a limited edition Wall Calendar and we won’t be adding a second print run this year. So when they’re gone? They’re really gone forever.

Being a history nerd, Allison revisited the history of calendars a teeny bit and came across the writer Jean Hersey and her 1967 book The Shape of a Year, thanks to the lovely blog series Lost Ladies of Garden Writing by gardening writer humorist (who knew that was a thing?) Carol Michel. If a memoir of marking out one year via the change of seasons, which birds, insects, & critters come to visit a yard while gardens grow, die back, and grow again appeals? Mike Perry's book, Over & Over

As if there was any doubt he would, though. Right? 

You may recall that I blogged about the fantastically fun and rad illustrator and hand-drawn-type champion Mike Perry previously last October here when I’d finally started reading his first book Hand Job. Which, I immediately fell in love with. I’m talking within the first paragraph of the introduction. And now I’m encouraging you to check out his most recent book, Over  & Over: A Catalog of Hand-Drawn Patterns. 

Both books embrace the comparative unevenness, fallibility, and beautiful imperfections of drawing things like type and patterns by hand that we all too often just turn over to digital generation-mediums. For me, being a straight-up design nerd, textile design geek and general adorer of pattern and repetition as well as lovely awkwardness, this book is the jimmy AND the jam.
